Born to be bad?

Posted by peanut on Friday Oct 24, 2008 Under as a med student, bad stuffs, characters

Well, this is not for me. But after 7 years here, I think some people are born to make things bad, or make life miserable for other people.

My group had been paired up with another group since 1st year. Occasionally, we would have some of the classes together, and that day would end up like the worse day ever on earth.

It makes me understand that not everybody is educated the same way. Even thou you are in a med school it doesn’t mean that you know anything about politeness and culture. These people are rude, brainless and no culture at all. The sound wave of their unknown language to use could reach so high that some of us could have headache after a day of class with them. Not to mention the sound of them banging the table, talking on the phone (when the doctor is explaining in front), making stupid useless comments and jokes.

There are times that we had try to tell them to tune down, and even took action by informing to the dean that we would not want to share any class with them. But it seems that our university is too ‘business-minded’ to care. They are like monkeys that could not be tamed. This is why, during classes that we have to share a classroom with them, we secretly pray that the teacher who conduct the class is the strictest and baddest ass in the department. That way, they would suffer!

Not to mention that they would come to class 2 hours late! It would make my day if they are told to go home. I would definitely buy my classmates beer if the teacher could use the F word but too bad they are too kind.

I start to wonder if these people even have brain -_-’

Remember the ‘friend’ who I didn’t wake him up in my previous post?

There is a system with him that makes me don’t like him. Let’s see how evil I am:

During 3rd year, he would come to class, complaining about getting sick and would like to go home earlier. He would always ask the teacher for permission to do so. And most of the time the teachers are just too kind to even ask more. For me, all these are bullshit. My Christians friends in my class even say that I’m so bad for not showing any care.

Each day, he would come to class, and my friends would ask him about his health, give him advice, trying to help him in this and that. But I sat silent. Until one day, the below conversation took place (I will refer him as J in this conversation).

Blablablablabla…. (Conversation before this is just something like below)
Friend : “J, if you have problem sleeping at night and feel tired during the class, try to drink a cup of warm milk, it will help!”
J : “Ok, no problem.”
Friend : “Try not to sleep during the class, we tell you all these because we care for you.”
Me : “Ops, don’t use the word ‘we’. J, I’m going to be honest to you that I don’t care for you, at all.”
Friends : (everybody silent).

3 years after the above conversation, they know I was correct.

J would ask for earlier dismiss from the class at least twice for each rotations, using various excuses. His favorite excuse would be ‘the house pipe burst excuse’. According to that, if not mistaken, the pipe burst around 5 times a month, and it only burst during the starting of the rotation.

And today we had a class nearer to the center, instead of the far away hospital that I blogged about 2 days ago. He went home earlier giving another kind of excuse the day before and he didn’t ask about what to study the next day. In the end, he end up in the far away hospital instead of the one that we are suppose to be in.

He called me in the morning
J : “Bing! Why you didn’t told me that it is in Kim (the place we are in) today?”
Me : “Why you didn’t ask?”
J : “Haichooooo.”

He didn’t came to class at all today, saying that there is an accident on the way and he got to the place late at 11.30.

In the lecture, he saw me.
J with angry tone : “Bing! Why you didn’t told me man….”
Me : “Do I look like your baby sitter?”
Me again : “Do you need a baby sitter?”
Me again : “DO you f***ing need a BABY SITTER?”
J : “…………”

Sorry, abit emo today. But I’m seriously so not SYOK with him. Duh…

I shall study more and be a better doctor. I could do so much difference just by stopping people from going to them. Grrr….

they are all old enough to decide whether they want to sleep in class, cut class or whatever… come on, it’s university! and furthermore med school!! and to think these people will be those people making life and death decision for others?

i had a friend who fall sick because she had measles, for a week… she nearly got barred for exams because of inadequate attendance (during the week of absentee).. some students here have to attend classes despite being sick… if your friend have been in my uni, he would have been sacked long, long ago..

everyone is lost in this society,
if you don’t expect others to return your favor,
      why’d you hesitate to care?
it’s our nature to be selfish,
but it’s the helping hand that makes ur human.
Do the things that give you peace in mind.
