How durable is iPhone/iTouch?
Posted by peanut on Tuesday Mar 17, 2009 Under cool stuffsFor a gadget which is so thin, the iPhone and the iTouch seems to be quite fragile to deal with. I found some of the stress test online and the result is definitely amazing.
This is produced by the PC world. If you are lazy to watch the video, let me tell you what can the iPhone/iTouch survive. Scratches are a norm so I’m not going to talk much about that but the gadget survives after dropping in the the cereal box and you could even wash it with water if it is sticky and it still works! Even thou Apple didn’t said that iPhone is water proof but I think I wouldn’t risk on that. It survives much of the drops but the program will still function. However, the screen would be cracked up pretty much.
This is another long video done by some youngsters. This is really the ultimate test. First they drop the iPhone, smashed it around, hit it with the door, grill it with oil, put it under the weight 300 pounds in the gym, hit it with a racket and it still works! Wth…
So after all, it is a pretty durable gadget eh? I don’t really care much about scratches or what, but knowing the maximum ability of this piece of gadget definitely make me more comfortable while holding it.
