iPhone recent call list empty
Posted by peanut on Saturday Jan 29, 2011 Under iPhone/iTouchWhen there are more important things to deal with, the last thing you would want to happen is your phone failing on you.
My iphone is not giving my recent oncall list. Yeap, it is empty, for almost 4 days now. Think it is due to too much cracking and crashing. Stupid me for overworking that poor machine. But something on the database is not working correctly. Think of having people calling you but when you put down the phone, the log didn’t appear and you will have to select that contact from the big list of contacts to call back. Not to mention about random numbers that come in and you practically have to memorize the numbers and later on key in as a contact. And all hopes trying to restore failed and basically I’m jammed in this situation that I can’t update, can restore, and of course, can’t dispose off my iphone (provided that I got another phone on my mind to buy).
(And when I was typing this, I took my last try and delete mobileme (my previous solution in hoping to get the recent call list back) and WALAAAAA!!! IT WORKS! OMG F**K**G S**T IT WORKED!!!!
The solution is damn easy.
LOL.
1. Get the iFile apps from cydia.
2. Open the app. Navigate to var/mobile/Library/Callhistory.
3. Delete the callhistory.db file.
4. Restart your iPhone.
5. Make sure all the other attempts of overriding the list is deleted ;p
Hope that you are as lucky as me. I got my list back! And I’m going to keep that app for some really long time.
