“Lace up your shoes
Here’s how we do
Run baby run
Don’t ever look back
They’ll tear us apart if you give them the chance
Don’t sell your heart, don’t say we’re not meant to be
Run baby run, forever will be
You and me.”

Posted by peanut on Saturday Jun 13, 2009 Under musicBored and nothing to do. Too much book, so recorded this. The sound sounds weird thou, not the nice acoustic guitar sound that I would wanted you all to hear but I guess this is camera quality. Maybe would record a nicer one in the future.
Kinda forgot wat to play in the middle of the song as well. Don’t leave bad comments! Haha…
Yiruma - kiss the rain
Posted by peanut on Thursday Jun 4, 2009 Under musicLove this. So gonna play it on guitar when I’m free later!!!
Got some nice photos from Ahmad so decided to post it here =)
Guitarist n bassist yg gempak.
Drummer yg macho.
Para guitarist rhythm yg salah chord (LOL), king of percussion n tabla king.
Ahmad tak suka choir, singers and sotong kot. Don’t have their pics pun. Pelik betul.
Woke up around 10.30am, went to watch handball with Dhani. Didn’t have any sports picture to show. Later on gotta dump Dhani as I gotta go for some rehearsal so that our performance for that night wouldn’t suck.
Officially dumped Dhani at around 1pm and helped move those instruments to the concert hall for the ‘grand dinner’.
All the guitars…..
Went home to wash up, and rush to the hall again. There will be some 14 slots. Quick a lot right? But actually our turn came rather quickly. We are the last to perform.
Show you guys dikir barat first. I like this a lot! The dance with the Dhoom Machale song is very addictive as well. That song kept on playing in my brain until now. Dhoommmmmm *shake shake shake* Machaleee…
Our turn
Subtle kind of medley + cheer + sing along + claps + out of beat + out of tune + tons of fun + can’t hear what I played + absolute havoc + absolute rock. Can’t see from the photos right? Imagine yourself.
We played Nenjukkul Peidhidum, Jay’s Tornado, Pretty ugly’s Diari Seorang Lelaki and Ella’s Standing in the eyes of the world. All in 10 minutes with bridges and etc. Imagine yourself again.
The performances finished really quick and the grand dinner proceed with food not as grand as expected. I didn’t even touch it. Went home, cooked plov at 2am, and slept rather late that day.
Actually I got a lot to say, but I guess now I’m just rushing to report what happened and am not really in the mood to blog about what I think and etc. Still need rest. Tired!
Time for us
Posted by peanut on Thursday Apr 16, 2009 Under musicThe famous Romeo & Juliet song.
Forgive me for my sucky playing up there. The song was in its 3 days old in my hands. I wanted to play this tune when I heard it from the Funeral advertisement that I posted up not long ago.
On the 2nd day after playing it, I thought to myself how could somebody create such a tune which is full of emotion and express it in such a short time (only a bit more than 1 min)?
3rd day I start to wonder what Romeo and Juliet all about anyway. I know they are some characters in some play but I never know the real story.
So I googled :)
Romeo & Juliet, by William Shakespeare
It all started with an on-going feud between the Capulets and the Montagues (2 families), which is creating much havoc in the city of Verona, Italy. They couldn’t seem to get along and arguments always leads to duel and death. Prince Escalus of Verona warned the 2 families to end their feud or else punishment will be given.
Romeo Montague was recently rejected by Rosaline. So his cousin, Benvolio decided to cheer him up and show him that there are other pretty women around (so kind of him) by bringing him to the brothel Capulet feast in disguises (so that the Capulet family members will not notice them and kill them).
At the feast, Romeo met Juliet (daughter of Capulet) and fell in love with her. After the feast (damn fast progress), Romeo sneaks into Capulet’s orchard and both of them proclaim their love for each other. They decided to marry the next afternoon (cepat giler sial).
Romeo then seeks the help of Friar Laurence to marry them, at the same time hoping that their marriage will end the feud between both families.
Later that noon, Tybalt (nephew of Lady Capulet), found out that Romeo was at the Capulet feast and started a fight with him. Romeo’s friend, Mercutio, challenged Tybalt to a duel and was killed by Tybalt. Romeo in response, killed Tybalt, and has to flee Verona as the Prince has exiled him.
Romeo hid in Friar Laurence’s cell, and tried to commit suicide but was stopped by Friar. Laurence convinced Romeo to go see Juliet to say goodbye.
In the next scene, Capulet arranged for Juliet to marry Paris in 3 days. Juliet refused and her father threaten her by disowning her if she doensn’t comply. Juliet went to the friar and he gave her a potion that could fake her death (faking her death for sometime). She went home and agreed to marry Paris. Her father was so happy he moved the wedding earlier by a day.
On the wedding day, nurses found Juliet dead on bed. The news reached Romeo. He doens’t know about the fake death. He then proceeded by buying some poison and returned to Verona. He entered the Capulet tomb and saw Juliet dead. Paris challenged Romeo and was killed by Romeo. AAfter killing Paris, Romeo drank the poison and died. Juliet woke up from her fake death, saw Romeo dead next to her, stabbed herself with Romeo’s sword and died.
Sad story but medically not logic.
Here is the full version of the song.

Posted by peanut on Friday Apr 10, 2009 Under musicThis song does not in anyway shows that I like remix but don’t know why the chorus is very catchy. LOL..
is seriously boring! I know that when the guitar is beside me, I would only play it like 15mins per day but hey, it is still a bit of exercises for the fingers and they wouldn’t forget where to press. A bit of training from time to time make them remember where they are suppose to be. I’m not so much talented to play tunes by ears yet. It is all still hardcore practices.
Now, the fear of forgetting all those tunes that I learned after the 4 without-guitar-coming-month is seriously getting to me. Maybe I should steal some people’s guitar to do some practice. Sigh.
I had my first guitar when I was f.2. Bought a kapok guitar for 70 ringgit, then slowly crafted it and stick lotsa stickers on it, used it until the end of Form 5, then I sold it to KahHeng and bought another small neck acoustic guitar from my friend (again second hand). It cost me some RM170. And 2 years back I bought my first electric guitar with the processor and sold them off late last year with the price of 700 ringgit. And now from 2 guitars, I end up with only one acoustic back at home.
Fingers getting itchy!
Sharing you a small video here! Must watch!
Beautifully imperfect..
