Amazing race

Posted by peanut on Tuesday Dec 9, 2008 Under travel

I was writing a post for volgotimes.com when suddenly I remember this special day when a bunch of us gotta overnight in Hongkong airport waiting for the connecting flight in the next morning. This happened in 2006. As you know, sleeping over in an airport can be quite boring but we found some serious but dangerous entertainment.

Photobucket

It was not a busy day. That part of the airport was practically empty besides us. It must have been around 3 to 4am that time.

Photobucket

Sorry about the blur picture but this is the only one which consist of those that took part in the race that day. If you have been to Hongkong airport, you would know that there are these lanes which slightly going up and down from the main entrance of the airport towards the check in counters.

Photobucket

We took their trolley, and had our own race like this.

Photobucket

The one behind gotta push real hard and the trolley would go real fast all the way down the lane, possibly bumping into each other or just go out of the lane as it is almost impossible to control the trolley once it is out of the hands of the pusher.

What I thought when I remember this is, it is almost impossible that they (the security guards looking at the cameras and etc.) did not know that we are pulling out those stuns. In fact, some of them walked past us and we would be acting like we were taking pictures. Maybe Hongkong security guards are better? Or I bet they were so boring as well that they might be betting who reach the finishing line faster. Hope that we were not black listed!

kampung boy went hongkong 2007 II

Posted by peanut on Friday Jun 13, 2008 Under travel

Tomorrow exam, but don’t feel like touching the book yet so will make this post, and at the same time answer kiwi’s question. Hehehe.. Actually I like to post up lotsa pictures too.. So, this is the place I stay in Hongkong…

Photobucket

Okay, not this one, just to show all those tall tall buildings only. So many of them there. The land
is expensive. Haha..

I didn’t stay at the 5th floor. As you can read here, “Fei Lok Villa - overnight & hourly room for rent.” Kaka. You know what it is. LOL. They have a KTV on the 2nd floor, so you can see me entering a sidewalk with a half naked Asian woman poster outside but actually I’m just going back to my room! And I stayed on the 6th floor, the city econo guest house, which obviously doesn’t look like a guest house. It is nearer to some-people’s house actually. Anyway, they said it is very easy to find place to stay in the downtown but I don’t think so. Maybe because I end up in the wrong part of the city. I walked few streets until I see the sign! Thousands of sign there!!

Go to people’s place, it is a must to have fun of people’s landmark..

Photobucket

This picture is definitely better than Wi’s one. He did this in front of Reichstag! Don’t believe me? Check out my friendster pics. Hahaha.

Study study study….

kampung boy went hongkong 2007

Posted by peanut on Wednesday Jun 11, 2008 Under travel

Just felt like posting this up even thou it happened before I started this blog. Hehe..

Photobucket

It’s not valid if you went Hongkong and didn’t took a picture of this. Hehe. No doubt, no wonder this land is named ‘Pearl of The East’.

Photobucket

People, people, people, small, big, black hair, white hair, cantonese, chinese, mandarine, ang mo, orang hitam, what color and what age you want, you name it, and you get it all here…. I like the big screen tv they put there, it is very often, and when you stand there waiting for the small green man you can watch news, watch reality show, watch people singing, stock market, bla bla bla..

Photobucket

Friendly fella, if only cops in Malaysia are like that! They are proud to be cops. Don’t know why, maybe because Hongkong has lotsa cops series or something like that. Internal affairs?

Photobucket

Felt like going again.. Hmm. But not the heat and stuffy feeling thou.. It is at these place that you can find those kind of erhem.. cinema.. Seriously! I passed by one, guarded by ‘gu wak zhai’!!!

Photobucket

A cooling picture. We climbed quite high up just to take pictures with these pillars arranged in the way that it shows an infinity sign. It’s the heart sutra, and I was standing at the last most important verse! Kakaka…

Photobucket

Ok, I know this picture quite controversial but sometimes I’m macho -lah..

Photobucket

The only cheap food we had there. The food are damn expensive! And don’t know why, the restaurant kinda vanished after we had our first lunch in Hongkong there. Can’t seem to find it after few hours of roaming!!
